UC-
I have two '4 1/2 year old' statements to pass along - first - about the World Cup - we were watching a sports recap (you know, I'm really striving for 'Father of the Year', again) - and the announcer said the word 'football' - Kewyson's oldest little girl said - 'That's not football, that's soccer!' How American, I mean, US centric - its what she learns at home, I guess -

The other has no connection to Soccer, I mean Football - oldest little girl has been quite an emotional 4 1/2 year old the past couple of weeks - lots of changes going on - Kewyson wife out of town on business (Japan); Montessori school off for the week (they have almost as many days off as on) - so I took the day off to 'watch the kids' (which really didn't start too well - wife called from Japan at 8:30 a.m. eastern time - (9:30 p.m. Osaka time) - children, dogs and dad were already out in the back yard playing on the swing set - I was gleefully explaining how younger daughter (just 2 years old) was enjoying laying on her belly on the swing and pushing back-n-forth; gentle spins, etc - when all of a sudden - she takes a header (wife thought I should have been closer to her - could you have imagined, getting lectured from 8000 miles away!) child screetching, silence from Japan - wow - what an ooofda! - anyhoo - let's leave that tangent -

Oldest young daughter and I went to the local store to get food for dinner - I wanted to make it a bit more fun - so we got ice cream first - sat outside the store on a bench - and this somewhat older (upper 50's) lady padded by, slowly wobbling towards her car that was waiting right in front of us - she is over weight - carries a good belly - then oldest young daugher loudly, and I mean quite loud - states to me - 'That lady is going to have a baby!'

Well, I tried not to make much eye contact - divert the attention of oldest young daughter - didn't help too much - the next guy who walked by was carrying an even bigger belly - "He's going to have a baby too" came out -

So, I wonder, in my strive to tackfully keep my child from stating the obvious, have I laid the ground work of the idea that only thin is beautiful?

Well, time will tell - speaking of time, it's 9:30, and I'm typing this note to you all - with both girls downstairs, awake - why can't we have kids that go to bed early!

Adios muchos
