That’s probably what Mr. and Mrs. Woycheck are thinking right now.

And that’s what you have to do if you want to take part in the When Will WoyGirl Arrive Pool, which starts … now.

The idea here stemmed from a conversation on Plurk last night — Woy said something about being thirsty, and the rest of us turned his innocent comment into a discussion about when WoyGirl will arrive. I was the jackass who suggested a pool, and BBM’s notion that the Woychecks get a cut was right on.

So here’s what we’re gonna do: Pick a day, and if WoyGirl shows up between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on that date, half of the pot is yours. Claim your day in the comments, and make sure the email address you leave in the form is valid — PayPal tells me I can send you an invoice and you can make a secure payment through them. If we occasionally see each other in real life, you can always give me then money then.

The ante? Let’s say four bucks. The winner gets half of the pot, and the Woychecks get the other half for their diaper fund.

Important to know: Woy says the due date is July 27. I have no other medical information or advice to offer. You’re on your own from here.

Also important to know: I MUST HAVE YOUR ENTRY BY 11:59 P.M. TUESDAY. You’ll be able to see a running tally of claimed days in the comments, and I’ll post the full list and the amount we’re playing for on Wednesday morning.

To get the ball rolling, I’m taking July 18. Full moon, etc. What’s your pick?

Cindy brought up an excellent question: May one person make multiple entries? The answer is certainly — but let’s limit it to, say, two per person, so someone can’t just buy August.
