Neither Michigan nor Ohio State had an especially good year, and Penn State had already clinched the conference before the game. But a mediocre season was made better by whipping UM 22-6.

Better still was the fact that The Future Wife came to her first Michigan game in 1994. (It was Fred’s first Michigan game as well.) Father of Uncle Crappy was so happy that he kissed The Future Wife and said she wasn’t allowed to miss any Michigan games in Columbus from here on out. And, with the exception of my year of lost faith, she hasn’t.
