The truck is almost loaded, and in one hour we’ll be in the parking lot.
The preparations and the hype have been fun, and today’s tailgate party is going to be epic.
But in the end, only one thing matters.
Troy Smith gave Michigan fits in Ohio Stadium two years ago. He did the same in Ann Arbor last November.
And they still don’t have an answer.
Tippy Dye was the last Ohio State quarterback to beat Michigan three years in a row. That was back in the mid-1930s.
Troy Smith adds his name to that very short list today.

If Archie is the king of Columbus, an heir was crowned prince yesterday in Columbus. Wow.
I’m still catching my breath.
I never believed this game would be able to live up to the astronomical hype accumulated throughout the week. But to exceed it? Unfathomable.
I woke up excited as a preschooler on Christmas today. My TiVo was brimming with memorable gifts to unwrap. From the clever signs during College Game Day (Tressel’s tears cure cancer! WTF???) to the post game analysis on every channel from every angle. I have so much to entertain me from now until January 8, 2007. I just hope it won’t double as scouting fodder for that game in Glendale. We beat them. They had their chance. Bring on the next team.
Go Bucks!
