representing.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Mike Conley Sr. has announced his intention to form a management firm that will represent professional athletes.

Conley Sr. is the father of Mike Conley Jr., the freshman point guard at Ohio State. Conley Jr. is the high school and college teammate of Greg Oden, the Bucks’ freshman center.

Both players, and Oden in particular, are in the middle of a swirl of speculation about whether they’ll turn pro at the completion of Ohio State’s season. Oden would be the likely No. 1 pick in the NBA draft whenever he decides to go.

Hm. We don’t really need to connect the dots any further, do we boys and girls? I just wish Senior would have waited until after the season was done; if he’s an agent, there are rules about contact he can have with college athletes, and it won’t take long for some bonehead to start hollering about Junior eating a burrito purchased by his dad down in San Antonio this weekend.
