I have to work this afternoon, and it’s killing me. Because I’d rather be in Columbus, where the hysteria over today’s Arena Bowl is simply off the charts. Arena Bowl parties, dancing in the streets … Columbus would be the best place in the sports world to be today … unless you were in New Orleans, getting ready for the game at an epic Arena Bowl tailgate party.
But with work, I’ll have to settle for taking in all the pregame hype on TV. I know, I know … eight hours of pregame analysis gets to be a bit much, but c’mon … this is easily the most important game in the history of of sports, so the hours and hours of build-up are definitely warranted.
The game starts in a couple of hours, boys and girls, so it’s time to get ready — and Go Destroyers!

UC,
Two questions:
1. Who won?
2. Do we care enough to find the answer to question 1?

Alas, the Sabercats pulled out a 55-33 over our beloved and heroic Destroyers on Sunday, thwarting what would have been — without question — the greatest sporting victory in the known history of the universe.
And it leaves me without my arena football until next spring. I’m not sure I can wait that long — but I suppose I can make do with, you know, watching Ohio State or something. I mean, college football is nice and everything … but it ain’t the Arena Football League.
