Against my better judgment, I approved a comment by Carolina Boy’s younger brother, therefore giving Central Ohio’s No. 1 Michigan fan access to Uncle Crappy. You can check out a brief version of his handiwork in the comment on On The Lookout.
In keeping with our long-standing tradition of anonymity here, I won’t come out and say who LBCB (Little Brother of Carolina Boy) is, but if you’re familiar with media in Columbus and the stories that inevitably arise during Michigan Week, you’ve seen him or read of him. I think he’s been banned from writing letters to the sports section of the Dispatch, but we won’t ban him here.
Unless he deserves it.
Maybe he could explain one thing that I’ve always wondered about but has never been explained fully in any of his media appearances. LBCB earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan, but his two subsequent degrees came from The Ohio State University. The question? You couldn’t find a job with the UM degree so you had to come back here and get one that was worth something?
Just askin.’
Carolina Boy: It was nice of you to sic your brother on Uncle Crappy, but we’re still waiting to hear from you. Time’s running out, my friend.

Sorry to cut it short today. Most of the day was filled with getting out to Columbus and getting stuff ready for Saturday. I know of one non-football-related thing I’ll be posting about on Friday: The new car Uncle Crappy and The Wife are picking up in the morning.
love that new car smell

The two degrees from OSU you ask? Well, the reality is that I learned economics at Michigan. Tuition at $8,000 per year is a lot better than tuition at $30,000. I know a good deal when I see one…much like Antonio Henton.
Now, I have a question – do you call yourself Uncle Crappy because you feel that you are a bad uncle, or just because you are an uncle AND like most tOSU fans, suffer from a low self-esteem and inferiority complex when it comes to being compared to Michigan?
Thanks for posting. Hopefully it will be a good game. May the home team win.

To: Uncle Crappy and the OSU Nuts
At the request of UC, it is time to weigh in on The Game 2007. My silence over the last 365 days is due to the fact, that as a Gamecock fan, I have learned to be cautiously optimistic. Down here in SEC land (y’all remember the SEC!), we love our football as much as fried meat and grits. For us Cock-n-Fire fans, we have learned not to tout our team until they can beat LSU, Auburn, Georgia ,UT, and FLORIDA on a regular basis. I guess that is why I have been so quiet about The Game the last few years. For the 2nd year in a row, OSU is the better overall team. For the 2nd year in a row, OSU is ranked higher than UM. OSU has been more consistent than Michigan this year. No Henne and No Hart this year has been an uphill battle. Honestly, Michigan should have more than 3 losses on the dance card. At times, their offense has been anemic and pitiful. OSU should win the battle in 2007. They are ranked higher and they have the “Tress” or “McSweaterVest” advantage. Ahh come on, it is the best rivalry in college football and between these 2 teams, the underdog can win in any year.
This could be Coach Carr’s last Big Ten game as a Michigan Man. Most likely a bit of inspiration for the Men of Blue along with playing in front of 111,000 screaming fans. Oh by the way, can you put 111 in your house? Even last year, I stated that Lloyd’s days at UM were numbered and I continue to agree that this may be it for the Coach. There have been rumors that LSU’s Les Miles (another Michigan Man) might be the next coach. Let me tell you, if you hate Lloyd Carr, as I have heard Kristi state on more than one occasion, you will not be getting a break with Coach Miles. He is smug, cocky and a first class a_ _ hole! Nick Saban set him up and he continues to ride that train. I can’t see what he could bring to Ann Arbor and I hope the Administration does not move in that direction.
You said it yourself UC, the Nuts did not play anyone until November and a measure of how great the 2007 version of OSU football could be would come down to the last 3 or 4 ballgames. I mean, Akron, Kent St and Youngstown St! Heck, you should have thrown in Grove City High School to round out your non-conference schedule. It should not have surprised anyone that the Illini came in and beat OSU. I guess you could say “The Buckeyes got Zooked!” Mmmm, here’s a question Coach Jim. What team did the Zooker coach at before Illinois? I believe it was ……FLORIDA! Jim, don’t you think he might have studied some film and had your number before he even arrived at Woody Hayes Blvd. Come on Tress, you got Zooked!! and you should have been ready for it.
Let’s get to The Game. I have to go with the HOME team just because I am “cautiously optimistic” that they have not played their best game yet. With the Coach Carr thing, an OSU 3 game winning streak and some probability, I have to go with Mr. Hart and Company. I know that OSU has the numbers and they have the momentum. It is time to make 12 wins in the last 21 meetings!
Go Blue!

Kewyson: It’s beeeeeautiful. I’ll post a pic soon.
LBCB: If you take a look at the archive list on the right, you’ll see I’ve been doing this for a while. If you go back far enough, you’ll find a post that discusses the genesis of the name, which has nothing to do with A) football, or B) my skills as an uncle — which are exceptional.
Carolina Boy: Wait — you’re lecturing me about scheduling? I mean, I know we have to wait a year until we start our home and home with USC (that other one, in California), but jeez — at least we beat our I-AA opponent. That aside, it’s good to hear from you. Enjoy yourself tomorrow … until about 12:30 or so.
