OK. I didn’t really think anyone would fall for the Michigan blog thing, given that a change that drastic would likely result in a lengthy involuntary commitment in someplace I’d rather not even visit.
Bu it does give me the chance to say that Brian Cook, the Michigan fan who runs MGoBlog, has put together the finest college sports blog I’ve come across, something that’s a little tough for me to admit, given that its primary subject matter is The Team Up North. I’d also like to thank Brian for not suing me, in the unlikely event he even noticed the tens of hits he got from Uncle Crappy today.

I’m finished with another National Blog Posting Month effort, although I can’t claim total success this time. A search of my archives tells me I posted 28 times in March, a few days short of the post-a-day protocol. I knew that was going to be a problem, especially since I didn’t start until March 2nd, and I, uh, pretty much took last weekend off. Sorry ’bout that.
The cool part was that it worked, on a couple of levels. I had my best month ever, narrowly beating out last August, the month of the PittGirl referral and hits from hundreds of angry Deadheads. So — that’s good.
It’s an odd thing, but thinking I have to post something every day actually makes it easier — for a while at least — to come up with more regular stuff. As was the case in November, I’m more comfortable with this than I was when I started. That’s a good thing as well.
There are different NaBloPoMo themes each month this year, so I’ll continue to check on them and jump in when I feel it works.
The energy will probably be enough motivation to get me to switch from the free WordPress platform to its do-it-yerself platform — along with switching the domain to unclecrappy.com, which I finally own after four freaking years — and that should give me more than enough tech-related headaches to keep me going for a while.
