It’s been an interesting few days. I had plenty of time to write … and I didn’t.
The Wife and I are reasserting ourselves back into public life today, when we attend the opening of Inner and Outer Space, a new installation at the Mattress Factory in the Mexican War Streets. We’ve always enjoyed the interesting — and challenging — stuff that’s displayed there; James Turrell’s installation from several years ago is still one of the best displays of light, color and space I’ve ever seen.
I’m especially looking forward to tonight’s event, because the Mattress Factory folks were nice enough to extend an invitation to members of Pittsburgh Bloggers to attend; they were nicer still to link back here from the museum’s blog as well. If you haven’t seen Art You Can Get Into, you should — the most recent posts include video of the artists whose stuff will be on display starting tonight.
If that’s not enough — we’ll probably head over the river and do a little gallery crawling and then go find something to eat. Who says there’s nothing to do in Pittsburgh?
Hope we see you there.
