  1. UC, my friend makes everyone sit in the same seat as long as the team is winning. If things go south, he makes everyone change seats. He thinks he’s personally responsible for every big win in the last 23 years. That’s FBL.

    I also need to hit that Antonio Smith take. The Maurice Clarret’s of college football are few compared to the Antonio Smith’s. But “feel good” stories don’t sell like the depravity of a star gone bad. Remember that 99% of the kids playing college ball have no chance for the pros, and it’s only the love of football that drives them.

    Hey, it just dawned on me. You’re in the media biz. Why don’t you work from the inside to push for change and recognition of exemplary individuals within the student-athlete community. You’ve got to have some pull with the sports editor.

    wanted to check in to see how you’re doing – glad to see your posts allow you to release some pressure –
    here in nyc today, we were treated with a gaseous smell that even had my building evacuated for an hour – don’t know the source yet – best i’ve seen so far was that it was the smell of the jets and giants returning home from the playoffs –

    Mine is as follows:

    Buckeyes: 31
    Gators: 13

    I have been watching all of this season’s games today, cramming if you will for tonight. I’ve taken the necessary superstitious precautions, dressing both my girls in their Ohio State attire and singing various fight songs to them. Poor Scarlett’s shirt barely fits her any more.

    Less than two hours left. Ack! We will also tack on an hour or so for TiVo delay, so we can buzz through the commercials.
