I woke up in the Rocky Mountains instead of the Appalachian foothills. Seriously, it’s dumping outside, and I wish I was stuck at Seven Springs instead of writing about the weather in the newsroom.

I’m sure our friend in Yellowknife is probably amused at our hysteria over a snowstorm — after all, it’s a balmy minus six there at this very moment. We just don’t see this stuff very often.

I’ll be sure to post the traditional Snow On Uncle Crappy’s Front Porch pix when I get home tonight, but in the meantime, I’m curious — how’s it looking where you are?

  1. Waiting for the ice/snow/rain/sleet to start – 1 thing for certain – kids school will most likely be closed tomorrow – will go skiing this weekend – Ski Butternut is the place (western Mass.) – will be older daughter’s 3rd time skiing (went last week to a place that has got to be double the vertical of Mad River!!!!! – still big in the eyes of a 5 year old)

Here’s to the first real storm of the season – in mid-February!!!
