geography.

I live in western Pennsylvania.

There are Big 10 schools just a couple of hours in either direction. One of them, Penn State, is in this very state. It therefore stands to reason that there would be a reasonable level of interest in watching a Big 10 school — especially one that was ranked No. 1 in the country — while they play in the NCAA tournament.

There are no Atlantic Coast Conference schools in Pennsylvania. It’s just a guess on my part, but I have to think the closest ACC school to Pittsburgh would be in College Park, Maryland. A. Gajillion. Miles. Away.

So why — WHY — is Duke on my television? Any of the fuckers at KDKA want to explain this one?

  1. They must have known Duke was going down –

Thankfully you didn’t get to see my early round upsets – they didn’t happen.

  2. Dear UncleCrappy,

The programming decisions of this station are those of the NCAA and their masters, the executives at CBS corporate headquarters. They in no way respresent KDKA and the fuckers that we employ. As residents of Big Ten country, we wouldn’t be so spineless as to let them jam this crap down our throats without a fight. Of course, by “fight” I mean a weakly worded letter sent to a lower level executive’s secretary.

Please address any further complaints to:

Thank you for your continuing patronage of our humble station. And, be sure to tune in this Thursday night as we show reruns of last week’s exciting NIT action.

    Sincerely,
    KDKA management
