The Indians are crushing the White Sox, it’s still gorgeous outside and I’m still at work. With tonight’s basketball game coming up, it’s possible that I may be a little distracted at the moment.
But not so much so that I didn’t take the time to update the standings of the Second Annual Uncle Crappy NCAA Final Four Challenge. Here’s how it works:
Three people — Kewyson, The Wife, and Uncle Crappy, if I may refer to myself in the third person — correctly picked both teams in tonight’s championship game. But right there with us is Mr. Burns, on account of the fact that he correctly picked all of the Final Four participants.
Mr. Burns had the best start of any of the Second Annual Uncle Crappy NCAA Final Four Challenge participants, but he gave up ground on Saturday night. Mr. Burns is a Big Easter — and that has nothing to do with chocolate bunnies or jelly beans — so his judgment in picking Georgetown to beat our Buckeyes was perhaps a bit clouded by that allegiance. He’s still in good shape, though — if the Gators were to fluke out a win tonight, no one else can touch him, and he would become the only two-time champion in the history of the Annual Uncle Crappy NCAA Final Four Challenge.
If the Bucks cut down the nets, it’ll be an awesome night in the Crappy household. As I stated before, three of us correctly picked tonight’s match-up — but Kewyson is a point behind The Wife and Yours Truly because he thought both Kansas and UNC would join Ohio State and Florida in the Final Four, while the Crappy Couple each had just one incorrect pick at that level.
In short: Bucks win, and there’s a two-way tie between The Wife and me. If the Gators crush my hopes and dreams for the second time in four months, Mr. Burns will take the Second Annual Uncle Crappy NCAA Final Four Challenge, and the fabulous prizes will be his.
And I’ll start to reconsider our upcoming Florida vacation.
Current standings:
1) Mr. Burns, The Wife, Uncle Crappy (5 points)
2) Kewyson, SCarolina Boy (4)
3) Sister of Uncle Crappy (3)
4) Fred, Ethel, Large, HP, ahomer (2)
5) Juan, who has clearly suffered enough. (0)
Good luck to all involved. Especially me.

its half time – i’m in the middle od florida, and it looks like mr. burns is going to repeate – don’t know if I can handle the ‘locals’ at the bar much longer (tv in room off limits – past bedtime) – I might have to pack it in and check the score in the a.m.
I’ll give you some pointers on disneyworld when I get back, er, tomorrow
