holy crap.

Surprise!

Expect some more tinkering in the very near future.

And don’t ask me what 897 stands for — I don’t have a clue.

UPDATE, a little bit later: The more I look around at this template, the more questions I have. It seems to make random decisions about leading — which is technical publishspeak for the space between lines — that I can’t figure out. And although I have a bunch of options to customize, I’m not able to do as much as I want. I’m also a little irritated about the lack of template options offered by Blogger — there are plenty of other templates out there, but I’m not sure enough about my shaky HTML skills to feel like I could give one of those a try.

So — what do y’all think about this one?

I like the star – gives a good statement – however, the colors – make it feel even more tacky than my postings – maybe the secret is in the text I can’t read above ‘uncle crappy’ – I’d keep looking – you’re not there yet!

  2. Yeah, I’m not sure this is working for me. The templates offered by Blogger are limited, but they’re easy to modify — to a point, anyway. There are some really cool templates designed by other folks out there, but I’d really have to dabble with the code to get things looking the way I want. Plus, there aren’t as many that are compatible with the New Blogger … so I’m back to the limitations again.

The important thing — I was bored, and I will be picking a new template here soon. Check back daily — it should be interesting.
