shoulda.

What I would have said, had I been paying attention to Uncle Crappy for the last few days:

* Columbus still exists. Better yet, we remembered how to get there.

* The newest member of the Coochie Doctor/Matlock family is adorable.

* A nice example of synchronicity: Here’s a copy of a Bo Diddley concert poster created by the Kelley/Mouse studios in San Francisco back in the day. It’s appropriate because both Alton Kelley and Bo Diddley died this week. I had the pleasure of seeing Diddley when he opened for B.B. King at the Newport in Columbus sometime in the mid-1980s; I never met Kelley, but his posters defined a musical era, for me any many others.

* The other thing about Bo Diddley: Bomp Bomp Bomp Ba-Bomp.

* I’m wondering how HP and DD fared this weekend, when they visited Lake Tahoe for a 100-mile bicycle ride to raise money for Team in Training.

* It’s going to get hot this weekend. Our beloved window air conditioner is ready to go.

* Hockey. Oh, sweet Jesus, the hockey. Game Six starts in just a few hours, boys and girls…

  1. BBM: We tried.

Sorg: I love that place. It was a movie theater when my parents were students at Ohio State, and it’s been hosting concerts probably since the early 1970s. I couldn’t begin to recall how many shows I’ve seen there over the years.

E: Yep, two summers ago. I’ll be installing it Friday morning. Ahhh…

  2. UC, if a hockey game is played on some obscure TV channel and no one is there to watch it, did it really happen?

  3. UC – just looking at the poster for the concert – don’t quite understand BD connection to 5 white guys overloaded in a boat in what looks like 1930’s clothing – any insight?
