week. ended.

Briefly, because it’s been a long few days:

  • All the stuff surrounding Uncle Tony’s passing went very well, I thought. Nice service today, lots of time with family all weekend. Tony was a completely unique guy, and all the stuff that went on today really reflected his singular place in the world. I’ll miss him a lot, and his family will miss him even more. And thanks to everyone who passed on their kind words and thoughts — it means a lot.
  • We missed HP’s 40th birthday party on Saturday, but we have another chance to crush her when she travels to Columbus for the Michigan State game next month. Beware, old-timer — these things get harder and harder to recover from…
  • From what I could tell, Ohio State’s offense took a step backwards. Red zone rushing was weak, and five turnovers? That’s a problem. Overall, the rushing numbers look OK, but many of Beanie’s 150 came in garbage time. The defense, however, was outstanding, and we’re going to need a similar effort in Seattle next Saturday.
  • Uh, Michigan did what?
  • Uh, the Browns did what?
